Carter Gorzitza, Recruitment and Promotions Administrator 17-18

Hello friends I’m Carter (dude on the right) and I’m starting my third year of an Environmental and Conservation Sciences degree with the Faculty of ALES. This is my third year as a member of this club! The Outdoors Club has allowed me to find an extra special community of people here at the university and this community has helped me excel in all kinds of ways. I grew up in rural Alberta (Hinton) close to the mountains, and frequented them casually as youngster. Coming from the mountains, and studying the environment in school, I have come to really appreciate the time I get to spend in the outdoors, and I look forward to spending that with other members of the Outdoors Club. My favourite thing to do outside is probably backpacking or just plain old hiking (and my actual favourite part is the breaks and the picnics).

This year I hope to plan a trip/event/something focusing on being queer and going outdoors, and I am really excited to see where this will go! If you want to get involved please come find me, I would love to chat.
