Elizabeth Parker Cross Country Ski

Hey all Outdoorsy People!

I am excited to announce an End of Christmas Break trip. This trip includes a chance to drive the entire Icefields Parkway (Highway 93), stay in a wilderness hostel and a 110 year old Alpine Club of Canada hut, Elizabeth Parker hut.

Itinerary:

January 1st, leave Edmonton at noon and drive through Jasper to Athabasca Wilderness Hostel where we will stay the night.

January 2nd, depart Athabasca hostel for Yoho National park, driving down the Icefields Parkway, known for it’s stunning views and scenery. Once in Yoho we will leave our cars at the parking lot and begin our 12km cross country ski in to Elizabeth Parker hut.  This ski will take approximately 4 hours.

January 3rd offers a variety of day trip options including skiing to Lake O’Hara and digging snow caves.

January 4th the group will ski out of the hut, back down to the cars and drive back to Edmonton through Lake Louise and Banff.

 

The cost of this trip is $105, includes your three nights in the backcountry and suppers for the 2nd and 3rd.
